We view the Bible as truth and God breathed.

We will not debate, only share what the scripture means to us.

Please try to keep posts short. I have a hard time reading very long posts on the monitor.

Try to answer from your own insight into the scripture.

If you use a commentary for your answer, please try to put it into your own words.

Thank you everyone, for your cooperation.

To view the Bible as truth and God Breathed and not allow any debate on it otherwise is a little narrowminded. You give a confusing guideline when you say that we will not debate, but discuss what the scriptures mean to us. Well, what if I see the scriptures as mere myth and yet wish to study with you? Do I keep my mouth shut for fear of being ridiculed by those who believe that the Holy Bible is God Breathed? Now I am not saying that I believe the Holy Bible is myth. In fact I believe that it was inspired by The Divine, yet written by imperfect men. Some of those men chose to change and leave out certain things from the cannonized Bible to fulfill their own agenda. Now with that said, would I still be allowed to come here and state my feelings on how the scriptures make me feel?

I'm sorry you are offended. These guidelines are for this Bible study thread. It is for those of us who believe the Bible to be God breathed and infalible. There are other threads in other forums for debate.

As for me - at this time - I don't care to have debate in my forum. Sometimes I get tired of debate.

PS
Yes, I will admit to being narrow minded.
It took me too long to get where I am to be wishy-washy about my faith now.
I don't 'ridicule' those who believe in other paths. I was there once and I know how debate about it can go. I know that no amount of debate changed my mind.

2 very good Bible studies are:
1) "Becoming a Woman Who Loves", by Cynthia Heald
2) "A Woman After God's Own Heart" by Elizabeth George.

We are currently doing a Bible Study in my Sunday School by Beth Moore called "When Godly People Do Ungodly Things", it is a very good bible study. Really helps you learn through scripture how to keep the devil from seducing you in all areas of your life. I highly reccomend this study! I think it is especially important as we draw closer and closer to the end times.

I really enjoy studies by Beth Moore. They are very insighful and show her love for God.
