I was reminded that church is not for my entertainment. It is an act of worship.

It's Worship not American Idol

So true, Lynne. Great article.

I often find a great deal of solace by sitting in my church outside of services when the lights are dimmed and all is quiet. It is during these times of prayer and meditation that I feel the most connected to the eternal and my Creator. I love the messages and music I hear during service, but worship is also a quiet and personal thing, too.

Absolutely. And that can be found at home, in the car - anywhere.

One of the things I love about corporate worship is when something the pastor says, or the worship team sings, hits the people in the heart. Then we know that hearts are open and God is speaking.
