What was so special about the death of Thomas Jefferson?
Posted By: Lisa - Fiction Writing Re: October Contest - #1 - 10/15/11 10:55 AM
Thomas Jefferson, the third president, and John Adams, the second president, both died on the same day, the fiftieth birthday of this great nation on July 4, 1826. Both Jefferson and Adams had played great roles in the construction of the Declaration of Independence.

What was the name of Lewis and Clark's guide and why was she chosen?
Posted By: Lisa - Fiction Writing Re: October Contest - #1 - 10/17/11 04:54 PM
Sacagawea
She would be invaluable as a guide in the region of her birth near the Three Forks of the Missouri, she could serve as an interpreter, and she would quiet the fears of the Native Americans

Hello Rebecca and company;

John Adams was the 2nd president. However, I had to look this up as I wasn't sure. Does my answer still count?
