Sentai Filmworks has announced that the company has licensed the Rurouni Kenshin ~ New Kyoto Arc video anime project. This project is a remake of the Kyoto story arc of the original anime and the previous anime adaptation.

The company says it will release the two-epsiode series digitally, then on bilingual DVD and Blu-ray Disc in 2013.
