Police in Pennsylvania have issued a warning about a scam sweepstakes claiming to be from the Rite-Aid drug store chain. Apparently, an elderly woman was a recent target. She received a phone call claiming she won money from Rite-Aid but she had to buy a Green Dot card for $500 to pay taxes on her winnings. Thankfully, she didn't fall for it and the police were alerted.

Rite-Aid has had legitimate sweepstakes and this definitely isn't one of them. Police say this call appears to have come from Jamaica. If you're interested in real Rite-Aid sweeps, please visit their sweepstakes page on their official website.
