I wonder how many of you have seen and love the film Fantasia by Walt Disney? I purchased it some time ago and earlier this year when my nephews (at the time 18 months and three and three quarters) were visiting my parents and needed something new to watch I took it with me. The older boy was scared of the dinosaur sequence but loved it and the younger child started singing for the first time during the Pastoral Symphony scenes. We had Fantasia all weekend!

I saw Fantasia when it first came out, I was 6 and was SO impressed by it! I can remember drawing dinosaurs on my chalkboard easel afterwards, and I wonder if that film started me on a lifelong interest in dinosaurs and love of classical music.

I've seen Fantasia many times and it is wonderful. So many scenes there are now classics, like the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

It would be great if they did this treatment to more great works of music. It would encourage people to watch / listen to them more. Sort of like how Amadeus helped people learn more about the music of Mozart.

Well you might like to try Oscar's Orchestra - I've not seen it myself but I have heard about it (puts it on lists of items to get)!
