As the economy continues along it's current path, companies are looking at more and more lay offs. Every now and then we see a glimpse that the economy might start heading in a more positive direction. This might spell relief for the millions of people who are currently unemployed. As we gain hope for the future, how long have you been unemployed and looking forward to an economic turn around?

Remember that your votes are completely anonymous!!!

I was laid off for the third time in 2008, was on unemployment from 2008-2010 and really was not looking too hard for a job as I had savings.

LOL, when 2010 rolled around - it was like YIKES - ZERO!!

Ever since then, I have had sporadic spells of being unemployed while I did temporary work and now Virtual Assisting (which has its days of ZERO wink )

Now your turn to share....

I voted and it worked fine. I lost my job in July of 2009 and I have been looking since then. I moved (with my parents..i was living with them then [working and putting money aside with plans] so at least i did not have to move back with them) to a small town so there are not a lot of jobs here and the majority of those jobs are seasonal and/or things I cannot do. My next step will be to start looking in the nearest cities (not the 2 closest [done them] the others where 1 hour and more drive is needed...New Brunswick is less than 1 hour...if id find a job there it would be awesome since i want to move out of my province for years) or go back to school. Whatever I'll have to do something else to occupy my time until I finally get a job because I am going crazy!
