Sprouts are pretty simple to make so long as you keep them rinsed and air circulating around them so they don't sour during the sprouting process.
I've used an empty 32oz. glass jar and cheesecloth with a rubber band to secure the cheesecloth in place. I got more sprouts than my family could eat. I used about 4 jars and sprouted alfalfa, mung bean, lentil and wheat berries. It costed me a lot less than the sprouting kits and I got more yield out of it.
