This is my first posting in this forum but I have a question for you (whoever might be reading this):
Has anyone ever heard of it or had it and has a few tips for me on how to get rid of it quicker?

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the ligaments on the bottom of your foot. It can be caused by walking funny, bad shoes, overweight or any number of other stresses on your foot and is probably the most common cause of heel pain. My daughter had a problem with it once when she hurt her knee jogging and started favoring that leg. After a few months the sore heel showed up. So, I'll tell you what she did to get rid of it.

1. When walking up stairs (barefoot) you can stretch your arch by putting the ball of your foot on the edge of a step and lowering your heels as much as possible (but do hold on, so you don't topple down the stairs backwards.) Feel the stretch in your arch, your heel and your calves.

2. Take a golf ball and gently massage the arch of your foot by rolling the ball around on the floor under the arch of your foot. This causes blood flow that helps the healing process.

3. You can change to better fitting shoes and possibly get orthotics. Podiatrists and some chiropractors can fit you for these.

4. My daughter increased her omega 3 Salmon Oil capsules, a natural nutritional supplement with anti-inflammatory properties. Click here if you want to see what we use and recommend Omega III Salmon Oil .

5. Try to put less stress on your foot while it's healing. Since it's your foot, and you use it so much, the whole process could take a little time. But with proper care and a positive attitude you can get rid of it - naturally.

Best of luck and stay well. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
