Have you ever wondered what are some of the biggest candidate blunders ever made? Here are just a few I encountered during 2012:

Questions like;

How important is it to show up to work on time?

Begging such as:

I don't care what it is, I just need the job...

What can an employer do for me? Give me my check on time.

Fashion blunder:

Showing up to the interview in a outfit dressed like Snow White for an office clerical position.

Showing up with two similar, yet different shoes on.

Rudeness to the max:

Keeping your bluetooth earpiece for your phone in your ear.

Bringing a friend to the interview and asking if it was ok for them to "hang out" while they wait.

Have you encountered any bad interview moments?
Have you had one of your own?

I was having a wonderful interview, and I was asked a question where I believed that I had given a good answer. The interviewer, previously warm and encouraging, went stone cold on me. I knew that I had lost the job. With nothing further to lose, I said, "I can see that the answer that I gave you was not what you needed to hear. Would you mind rephrasing the question? I don't think that I understood." She rephrased, and I gave an answer that was more complete. She liked that, and I got the job.

Miss Connie, if more candidates did what you did, more people may find they would actually get the job.

You paid attention to the interviewer for cues and responded accordingly...

Not many people have enough courage or confidence to regroup and redirect in that manner - OUTSTANDING and thanks for sharing!!!
