Ebay has teamed up with APMEX to sell gold bullion and coins on the Ebay site. APMEX is a well-known dealer in gold so their connection adds a level of professionalism and trust to Ebay's sales.
However, it makes me wonder if gold is becoming too mainstream. Often when a product or investment goes from the sidelines to the mainstream it means it has reached its peak. Gold has had a phenomenal rise. It has become very popular with pension funds and the average investor. Too popular?
