Hey guys, I've got a box of around 300 comics. They range from Archie Comics, to X-Men, Spiderman, Superman, Ghost Rider, Batman, etc. Some of them are big! Like pretty much the entire Knightfall collection (where Bane breaks Batman's back), some of the Death of Superman collection, etc. I'm looking to sell them all, and pricing them out online, I've established that in their condition, they're worth about $600 all told. I've taken them to a few comic shops, and I keep getting the same response: "If they're from the 80's/90's we're not interested." Apparently they've got so many of the same due to mass production that they aren't willing to buy what I've got. I really don't want to post each one individually on Ebay as that would take forever, then I'd have to deal with shipping, AND I probably wouldn't be able to sell all of them on the their first listing either. So it'd take a lot more time. I'm planning a trip, and would like to have a little spending money by offloading these quickly. Any ideas?

I'm in the process of selling some books as well, albeit some older ones. I wrote an article on the process here http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art46515.asp.

Whoever you talked to was spot on about books from the 80's/90's. Particularly the 90's. That's why you can find those at conventions in quarter, fifty-cent and dollar boxes. The Death of Superman books certainly aren't worth much. I can't comment on Knightfall books.

Selling them individually will be a timely and trying process. Selling them as one lot likely won't sell. I would sell issues from the same title as their own lots. But that would depend on the number of books you have from the same series. It's hard to recommend any specific idea without knowing what books you have, but that's the best idea I have for you.

Hope that helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to post them. I'll help best I can.
