For many programs, March 1 is the recommended FAFSA filing deadline. Has everyone completed their FAFSA? If not, will you have it completed by March 1st?

I'm taking time off grad school, but I have had to remind SO many people to fill out the FAFSA, even if they think they are not eligible for anything. At the very least, there may be some loans out there.

Yes, it is an easy thing to forget. And yes you are correct; it never hurts to complete the FAFSA to see what you are eligible for. And if you don't want loans, you don't have to accept them.

My tax guy really dragged his feet so I was only able to get mine in a week or so ago. So at least they are in finally - but they didn't get the March 1st deadline.

At least it's done. You are still ahead of a lot of people.
