Hola!

This month, March'07, is the one to read, understand and talk about this book:

Goldilocks and the Three Bears: Ricitos de oro y los tres osos.

If you still haven't got it, maybe you'll still have time!
(See Spanish Language Book Club )

We could start by reading pages 2-3, and if you have any question about the Spanish sentences in this page, please post them here, ok?

I can tell you...

Although this story starts with "Una vez..." ("Once..."), most Spanish stories beging with the words "rase una vez...", ("Once upon a time...".

These two sentences contain 5 verbs, well, we can also say 3 verbs, as the last sentence uses the same verb (era) three times.

Can you identify the verbal tense of these verbs?

And finally, what about "haban tres osos.." ("there were three bears...". Do you understand how "there is, there are, there was, etc." work in in Spanish?

I'll be waiting for your thoughts, questions and comments!
