After a motorcycle policeman in Las Vegas followed a smell of marijuana to a Cadillac Escalade in which Hilton was a passenger, a crowd gathered as her and her boyfriend were being questioned by police. Hilton asked if they could go into a nearby hotel for privacy and when she pulled a tube of lip balm from her purse, a small bindle of cocaine fell out as well. Read the full article here : OOOPS!!

When are these young women going to wake up and realize they are in the public eye and giving kids a severe case of bad influence?

Apparently a similar thing happened to her in South Africa during the World's Cup and she blamed it on a friend and one of her friend's stepped up and took the blame. I think the fact that she (or anyone) hasn't really been held responsible for her actions in the past makes her more likely to behave inappropriately in the future.

I think she should be punished like every other normal person, instead of getting a slap on the hand.

I agree - too many celebrities are treated in a way that reflects badly on how people should act. Unfortunately, teens and young adults are fascinated with their life style and try to copy their dress and behavior.
One thing I really am concerned about is the people around them who enable what they are doing. Allowing them to act out, giving them drugs and alcohol when they are already addicted, placing them in the public eye as role models, not getting them the help they need. All to often it takes a death to provide at least some semblance of a wake-up call - for a little while.

Another thing that cracked me up about the Paris Hilton arrest - she said it wasn't her purse. Only woman in the car, only purse in the car - but not hers; she picked up the wrong one at the restaurant/club. Right, Paris. Good luck with that excuse.
Vance - you are really pushing some hot buttons on these posts, aren't you? Keep up the great work!

It's almost like they're taunting the law. They want to get caught like serial killers except they're total morons or they're screaming for help.
