So, in case you haven't heard, singer Rihanna tattooed a couple of tattoo artists in NYC for fun. Read about it here

Long story short, it's a misdemeanor to tattoo without a license in the city of New York. The Health Dept found out as only about a million pics of her doing it got posted to the Internet.

So, while NY Health Dept conducts their investigation, I'd like to ask all you forum readers....

Do you think Rihanna should be charged with multiple misdemeanors for unlicensed tattooing?

If it's against the law, I see no reason for her to be exempt.

At last, some follow-up! The tattoo studio where Rihanna did her inking has been fined for having an unlicensed artist working. And it's gonna cost them up to $2,000.

It would appear the unwritten rule that celebrities aren't normal people who have to follow the law has been applied in this situation. Personally, I think the studio should be fined AND Rihanna should be charged with a misdemeanor, as that is what would have happened to a non-celebrity.

First I want to say that I hate Rihanna for many reasons. To say that celebrities are not normal people who have to follow the law is ridiculous. Just look at the criminals who keep getting away with what they do, are they all rich and/or famous? No they are not! Whether your crime is small or not you get away with it because the law is now made to protect criminals.
