Geez, Lisa there goes my thought of healthy dark chocolate ;o(

The key is moderation! It's always a balancing act with food. So large quantities of chocolate would be bad because of the sugar, fat and lead. Those damages outweigh the small help of antioxidants and such.

But how about adding sugar-free dark chocolate chips to frozen yogurt? You get the delicious chocolate taste, and the boost of antioxidant, in small quantities which balance out well.

Don't just eat a whole chocolate bar. Shave it over something else.

Now that sounds good ;o)

Do you suppose the organic dark chocolate is lead free?

The lead doesn't come from pesticides put onto the cocoa beans It is that the type of machinery they have to use to get the cocoa powder out of the beans has it in it. So I really don't think that any type of cocoa is free from this particular problem. The problem is that lead stays in your body forever, so it accumulates over time.
