Walking in Cold Weather: No need to stop walking in cold weather. Just dress appropriately.

Great article Elizabeth. It's been snowing in southern AZ the last two days (this is not common here) and I'm so bummed that I haven't been able to walk for 3 days now. I'm going out today and using all your great tips to stay warm.

I enjoyed your Exercising in The Dark article too.

Great article, Elizabeth.

Dear Monica,

Where I live, Quebec ,Canada,Last nite the weather was -14 again.
During the day it warmed up to +4 these are celsious degrees.

But in my case as soon as it gets -30 ,when I go out i choke.
5 heart operations will do that to you.So walking is out of the question.

So dress warm and enjoy your walk.

I always say to the people who co,plain about the cold that you can always add clothes until you are comfortable but when it is hot even if you get naked you are still hot so not comfortable. I love walking and I love Winter (my favorite season) so I never let any cold stop me from walking and here it gets cold (i may go take a walk after this post [havent walked in days] im stressed to the max due to several things and im starting to get health issues on top of that...a little walk before my Hockey game woul calm me down).

I certainly agree, there is no reason why we cannot continue walking in cold weather. Its quite true we cannot perform well during cold weather, it seems we love to stay at home, sitting or just lying in bed, I too sometimes like that, good thing there are many kids in our compound, somehow I am enticed to walk with them and most of the time, play with them.
