Yes for a long while I used real candles and it always made my boyfriend uncomfortable. I realized it was silly for me to be continually "upsetting" him (not in a grumpy way but in a concerned way). So I did research into options that looked the same but had no flame, and found these!
This way I get the candles I want, and he is at peace because the room is safe.
I do still have real candles in the house, but I only rarely use them now. I like looking into the flame of my fire pit, though!
