I've just conducted a most fascinating interview with author Linda Pendleton about aliens, UFO's, and crop circles. It can be found here http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art10455.asp

Has anyone out there had an experience with UFO's or aliens? Ever see a crop circle? Post your experiences and thoughts!

Well, since you've asked for opinions and thoughts, I'll state my precious ones.

First, I didn't like the terms "Devine Source", "that created" and similar. Noone knows anything about creation so it's better to avoid touching this aspect of the matter, otherwise it sticks to religion which is no good.

I haven't read the entire article since I do not have time for that, but got more or less the mood of it. Correct if I'm wrong, but that woman speaks like preacher, it's just my perception. I wouldn't have it with absolutely no ground, would I?

As for "our government hides stuff" ... it does indeed, but perhaps not the one you think it does. I believe that the truth is that US government has nothing really to do with aliens and it's more like "earthly" experiments both in military and scientific areas that they are covering with intriguing "aliens" rumours.

Rosswell for instance is hardly a UFO experience since now most objective scientists are inclined to think of human created machines being confused for UFO. It could be anything ... a weather sattelite down, a USSR spy sattelite down, a prototype flying sourcer, etc. Don't you find that during the course of all these years there has been absolutely no bulletproof evidence of aliens? Just tiny grainy photos in which you can see "some shapes"? Just like with God and religion - it is only supported by people, not facts.

That is not to say, of course, that I do not believe in aliens unlike God. They do exist. Taking as the starting point that Universe is infinite and so are the stars and planets that fill it, by theory of probability, there is a 100% of probability that other life forms exist. Maybe even just like humans (to be exact: humans on other planets). They do exist.

As for space and time travell. It is real hard to make a decent space craft you know? I mean one that would fly at speed sufficient to cross large distances. With our current technology for example, we can hardly make it to the adjacent planets, I'm not talking about leaving the Solar System. All humans have learnt to do is leave Earth for brief moments to float at a safe distance around it and then go back. But that is unbelievably expensive, hard to achieve, with extremely high risks, etc. So, we're staying on Earth. (Well, MAYBE ONE VERY DISTANT DAY, Mars could be accessible (if there is anything of interest on it anyway)). Let's talk about aliens now, their technology has infinitely superior to ours, don't you think? To be able to reach Earth ... they need to fly at speed of light which is hardly possible since Einstein proved mass to tend to become infinite as the speed reaches the speed of light.

That said, I think it's safe to think that everthing is made of atoms ... atoms of elements which have been successfully grouped in Mendeleev's periodic table. No new substances have been found on any extraterrestrial object so far as I know it. Lunar stones proved to be just stones. The table is full and it's kind of hard to imagine that there are radically different substances available to aliens ... atoms ... materials using which they could make that huge quality step that humans cannot. I guess they are doomed to live on their planets just as we are. I may be wrong though and maybe under certain conditions other materials exist that are so different that allow to create things with characteristics we people would never create. In this case, aliens might indeed travell in space. The possibilities are minuscule though.

That is unless so called aliens are organic beings as humans. Nothing restricts them to be of a "superior" order in which case mass, speed, time, dimensions and other earthly limits would not apply to them. This actually if more probable than space travell.

To conclude: aliens exist, we do not know what are they and who are they nor what's their civilization like. We don't know how all was created neither. I find all speculations about aliens and similar topics in which the subject is downgraded to fit into our way of reasoning a waste of time. There are things we cannot know and maybe will never ever be able to.

Sorry for a rather lengthy insight, hope it wasn't too boring nor too annoying. I'll be delighted to hear your objections and reasons to what I've mentioned. Maybe I'm too narrow-minded and missing some important point here. Enlightment is everything one could only wish in any subject.

Are there aliens? Quite possibly.
Has anyone ever seen an alien? Maybe as recently as today. I will explain that statement later, but first let's address the issue of life existing somewhere else. Scientist have long theorized that life may not just exist elsewhere in our universe, but quite possible right here in our own solar system. Mars,Jupiter,Jupiter's moon Europa, and now
Venus may contain or may have at one time
contained life. Likely, this was not life as
we know it here on Earth, but life all the same. Recent discoveries may now add other planets in our solar system to the 'possibility' list.Earlier this year it was released that a new life form was found here on earth,'new'
in that it was previously undiscovered. Methanogens, which belong to the ancient group called the archaea, are related to bacteria and outfitted to survive in estreme environments. They were found 660 feet below the Idaho surface. They need not sunlight nor oxygen, and feed off of hydrogen in the rocks around underground hot springs.Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. Ice is very common across the universe. Planet cores generate heat. So,the recipe and opportunity for life exists through out the universe. I feel confident that life exists elsewhere in our universe.
Space travel....there are some limitations to this as AINTD pointed out...biggies are distance to travel....things outside our solar system are very far apart. Time,it would take massive anounts of time, our lives are very short in comparison, and suspended states are very risky. Energy systems for space craft...this one might be overcomeable(not sure that is a word )
Since these are problems that aliens on other planets would also encounter,it is unlikely we will see any space tourist anytime soon. In truth, they may have already come, could be here now,or may come in the future, but the odds are against it. We have so much to learn yet,we don't even understand the physical makeup of the universe yet,as we have little idea what "dark matter" is,yet it appears to make up about 80% of our universe. Could it hold new elements we have not been exposed to that would be helpful in space travel or in the makeup of distant aleins? We just don't know yet.
So...have you seen an alien lately???
Maybe as recent as the last time one looked in the mirror.
A theory gaining alot of attention in the science world is the theory of Panspermia,
which simply states that life arrived here from
elsewhere by comet or rock.If the life here originated elsewhere, and if we came from that
life, then we ourselves are the aliens.
So,in the famous words of Mork...nano nano

Comets are rocks and ice aren't they? If there's ice, there must be water and if there is water, there also is oxygen and hydrogen - things that supoort most life forms on our planet. That means that there are other planets that are similar in composition to Earth that may have similar creatures.

But I have another idea: we all are aliens! But not exactly in the sence Hawk has mentioned. I have a theory :

Humans are not exactly humans. They are physical bodies and concious entities. Let's say, that the part that thinks, that feels, etc ... the part that we are used to call "soul" and "mind", is one thing and our bodies is completely different one. Humans could easily be as animals long ago. Then aliens came in form of metaphysical entities and chose human bodies as their hosts. They "moved in" to possess them. So, when you see a human, it's not a human, it's a walking piece of meat on bones. Inside of it is another entity that controls human's actions. If humans were the original inhabitants of the Earth, then we (and I mean the one who's writing this and the very few who'll care to read it ) are aliens!

This theory supports afterlife - when a human body dies, the alien which is inside simply looses it's host. The poor guy suffers untill it finds a new body to occupy - a new born baby. And that leads to another much spoken thing - reencarnation. It also explains the concept of "soul" by actually confirming it's existence but beyond human's body perception. Only with this theory, afterlife and reencarnation are not some religious elements, but natural way of things. Also, ghosts are the poor guys that lost their bodies and are suffering. When we see a ghost, we see a visual manifestation of our inner aliens.

Why do aliens - us, want to inhabit human bodies? Well, that just may be their - our idea of happiness and interesting life ... they created our civilization to make things interesting. You can't do much without a body ... and they though that a human one would be the most appropriate for the task.

Weird??? You tell me! OK, start throwing tomatoes.

Hello AINTD,

Well, I think we all have our preferences as to the type of writers and speakers we enjoy, based on their "voice" and how it appeals to us. Some may say Ms. Pendleton's voice is authoritative; it really is a matter of preferences, I think.

Welcome to the forums, Hawk! One thing I find fascinating is the theory of matter (and humans) vibrating at such a high frequency that it's possible to appear to "disappear". (Think Celestine Prophecy, a book by James Redfield that is controversial in some circles.) The book Power vs. Force inclues the rates at which certain objects and even emotions "vibrate". If it's indeed possible to raise vibration through enlightenment and awareness, then there would be no mass to deal with.

Many UFO abductees report sensing a vibration or hear a "buzzing or humming sound" before feeling pulled towards the UFO. Is it possible this is a form of astral travel? Is it possible this is what happened to Jesus when he ascended? Even the Apostle Paul in II Corinthians said he didn't know if he was 'in or out of the body...I could not tell', when reporting a "heavenly" experience.

It's all so interesting to ponder, in any event!

Blessings,
