David - I just saw your message and responded, but I do not think you are in that thread anymore.
I did not have the opportunity to make challah yet. I had a friend do it for me (unfortunately) in preparation for our seder for the trees. We did, however, shape the challah in the shape of a tree as we saw somewhere online.
I am still looking forward to baking challah after being with trees!
