Hey everyone! I'm new here so let me introduce myself. I'm Gwen, and I have three kids: Taryn Melanie Paige, Lucas Christopher Robert, and Mikayla Reagan Marie. I'm a freelance writer: I love to write, am working to get a book of short stories, and I occasionally write small newspaper pieces. I'm looking for baby name help, but not for me, for my brother and sister in law. They've got a list and have asked me to get opinions on their name choices, because they know I love to blog and post on forums. Thanks for bearing with me! This is their list: Girls Arden Aspen Audrey Delilah Darcy Lyla/Lila Layla Evangeline Mariah Sloane Gemma Maci Nora/Norah Blake Boys Declan Jack Miles Luca (middle name only) Colin Rory Sterling Stanford Grey/Gray Royce Cash Harrison If you can suggest middle names that would be great! Is this their first child? If not, what are the names of their older child/children?

Also, what does their surname sound like? Some surnames make a big difference. (For instance, I wrote a blog post recently for an expectant mom who loved the name Grey, but had a surname similar to Blackburn. Most of the commenters weren't too keen on that Grey-Black pairing.)

Just going by the names themselves, I'd say my favorites are these:

Girl names - Evangeline, Nora/Norah, Audrey
Boy names - Jack, Stanford, Miles, Harrison

But context is important, so it's hard to know if any of these are a good fit without a little more context.

Girls Arden -Nice Aspen- Nice Audrey-Lovely Delilah-Gorgeous! Darcy-Eh! Lyla/Lila-Eh Layla-Dislike. Evangeline-LOVE Mariah-Love. Sloane-Unixex and I don't like unisex names. Gemma-I can't help but think of the cartoon Gem and the Holograms. DISLIKE Maci-Too simple, seems more like a nickname to me. Nora/Norah-Never liked this name. Blake-All boy to me. Boys Declan-Okay. Jack-Too popular. Miles-Nice. Luca just okay Colin-Eh. Rory-Have trouble saying this and Aurora. Sterling-I first saw steroid when I looked at the name. Stanford-Prefer just Ford. Grey/Gray-Love. Royce-Dislike. Cash-This is the name of Matthew McConaughey's son, isn't it? It could get quite popular. Harrison-Dislike it and Harry.
