The Native American Music Awards organization(NAMMYs)is non-profit, unlike other awards for drama and music. Their goal is to support and promote Native Artists.

There's just a few days left to help this wonderful organization with sponsorship through The Pepsi Challenge!!

We've all voted for Dr. Julie's Bird Rescue and know it only takes a minute or two. The deadline is Wednesday, August 31st. So please use the link below to vote. Post it on your Facebook page and email ALL your friends.

Produce the 13th Annual Native American Music Awards

This challenge is fairly low on the list. But if we all pull together and vote today, tomorrow, and on Wednesday, they could end up in the top 15.

The NAMMYs do allow public votes in some categories. A full list of nominees is on their website, along with a link to the ballot.

One might be surprised at the diversity of music genres our People perform and enjoy. It includes everything from flute and drum to Blues, Rock & Roll, Rap, inspirational and everything in between!

Check out some of the artists nominated and you might find some new favorites for yourself.

I am listening to Ayosgi (Soldier) Clear Water Drum (Cherokee/Yaqui/Metis) right now in the 'Best Blues Recording' and I love it!

Thanks for posting this, Jane.

I voted!

I am listening to all the Blues and am really getting a good, bluesey feeling. I used to play blues on my old guitar and could really rock it - or is that 'blue it'?
