Sometimes I get a little panicky. There are so many things I still want to do, and my life is at least half over. Am I wasting time? Does it matter what I do and dont do? Who will care, anyway? Maybe Im a late bloomer, like Moses - Senior Citizen Extraordinaire . He didn't really get going until he was eighty.

LeAnn, If you would allow me to pop in here for a minute. You are a youthful cool lady! You will have plenty of time to do what you want. My wife received her doctorate at the age of 62 and is working on her second one which she should have in a year or two if all goes well. We are too old to have it make a difference in the job market but it is a goal that we both wanted. No one on either side of our families has ever gone all of the way through school so I told her that one or the other of us is going to finish. Since she is the smart one and loves research she was the obvious choice. Best wishes to you LeeAnn

Hi LeeAnn. So you are saying that you are not a swimmer? Well...I am not much of one either. I swam a lot when I was younger, but now just paddle around in the pool. I would never swim in an ocean though.

My mother raised seven children, helped raise several grandchildren, then decided to learn how to fly at the age of 67. She went through the training and received her pilot's license when she was 68. We all were so proud of her. She is now 87 and still working part time. I so admire her.

Mom makes me realize we are never too old to learn and grow.

I'm so encouraged! Thanks for sharing those stories. I'm not yet fifty, so I can do anything still, right? Truly though, I want to do what will please my Savior, whatever that might be. I believe a wide range of options will fit in that space, as long as I'm careful about my motivation for my choices.

A pilot's license...hmmm.

Bungy Jumping? Now that would be a leap of faith. smile

My sister took up scuba diving when she was in her fifties.
