I'e been drinking non-dairy milk for years. Only recently did I discover that many brands contain an ingredient called carrageenan. It adds no nutritional value but can be harmful to individuals with gastrointestinal disorders. In those with sensitivity, it causes inflammation and stomach distress. There are some soy milk brands that are free of carrageenan.
