Hi, I'm fairly new to crocheting and recently purchased a book with patterns. The instructions for row 2 are as follows: Ch 4 (counts as first dc, ch-1 here and throughout), turn, dc in same st as beg ch-4, ch 1, *dc in next dc, ch 1; rep from * across to last dc, (dc, ch1, dc) in next dc--6 dc and 5 ch-1 sp. Please let me know if you need the first row info in order to decipher the above. Thank you for any help you can offer!

Having the first row does help so I can determine if there's a misprint in the pattern. Also, it will help me to tell you exactly where stitches go.

I'm guessing that the underlined NEXT is where you're having the question? As in...."what is the next dc?"

If you'd like, you can email me privately via the site email.
