since I'm new, this has probably been asked 100 times already or something, but I went back a few pages and didn't see anything specific... sooo.
What are the differences between the versions? International and whatnot? How do I know which one I have? o_o; Man, I feel so clueless.
What things are different? Like I've heard something about Dark Aeons and Penance and some nonsense.
Oh, and on a more random note, I finally got the freaking sun sigil today omgwtf xD now for the Saturn and Venus sigils... whoo, fun times coming up, I know >_>;
I also heard somewhere that revisiting the temples and redoing the cloister of trials again gives you more items from the fayths...? can anyone confirm this for me?

hi pounce welcome to the forum. you r right there are two versions of ffx. the international and the US (or NTSC i think). the int. version has dark aeons as far as i know that is the only difference.
i can confirm that revisiting the temples does give you a few surprises;)

Yeah, the US does not have dark aeons.
And if you revisit the temples the fayth's will speak to you and give you some pretty good items. And most also have two treasure chests as well.

yes, the international version has dark aeons-they are as tough as hell if u dont have strategy in fighting them
plus, int. version has a nice Ribbon auto-ability in ur armor-when equipped, u are immune to almost any status ailment
about Penance, he'll be unlocked once u have defeated all of the dark aeons
about talking to the fayth? yes, that's true when u revisit each temple, repeat the cloister of trials, and talk to them, they'll give u some nice items (yay!they're very rare u know) plus, there are some treasure chests surrounding them. (either 2 or 3)

there are so many versions out there (coz ffx was also released in many different languages, mind you) but so far, the three infamous releases are japanese, us and international. international would be the very best release there is coz it has many features like:
1. you get to choose what sphere grid to use
2. special powerful bosses like omega (god! he's next to valefor when it comes to hp!), dark aeons and penance
3. it comes in two discs so you'll get to watch the extra ending
4. ribbon ability that grants you immunity to all status ailments
5. special items to be given when you revisit the temples (that is, if you get to beat the dark aeons blocking your way in certain temples) :beamedup:

I'm pretty sure I have the US version then. Aw, I'm missing out on the Dark Aeons and all that fun stuff. oh well.
And I'll go revisit the temples now too! But what about Bevelle...?
