Veteran Swedish actor Max Von Sydow will be given a Career Achievement award by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. The ceremony takes place on January 13th. Von Sydow, who is 88, shows no signs of slowing down. He is appearing in the upcoming Russian submarine drama "Kursk" and the biopic about composer J.S. Bach (Gerard Depardieu is his co-star). Von Sydow starred with Robert Redford in "Three Days of the Condor" (one of my favorite performances) and also has two Oscar nominations ("Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" and "Pelle the Conqueror").
