The fourteen-member Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously today to approve the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. The $1.5 billion cutting-edge project will be built near USC, where George Lucas attended film school. The museum will house Lucas's personal art collection and movie memorabilia, as well as research facilities and state-of-the-art theaters for screening films. There is already a website where you can see architectural renderings of what the museum will look like, and photo galleries of its collections.
