After reading about these new meds, I had a tiny pity party. You see, I have glaucoma, so many, if not all, ADD meds are closed off for me. When I took meds, my focus was so laser-like! I've had glaucoma for more than 20 years, yet it hasn't progressed, and I am truly blessed to have vision. I'm concerned about upsetting the delicate glaucoma balance that keeps my optic nerves healthy, so I use non-medical interventions for my ADD. Sometimes the magic works, but often it doesn't. Wouldn't life be easier if the old brain had chemicals that were in balance? Would I still be me without my ADD? Hmmm!
