Angie, if you just have short bites of time, I highly recommend Lisa Shea's Black Cat: Salem Massachusetts Mini Mysteries. I read them on my Kindle Unlimited. There is a compilation of 31 stories. They are short and interesting. They nest together, but any of them can be read alone.
I know about busy. There are times when I am just running, running all of the time. Hang in there. Curiouser is usually preferable to boring.
