I agree! When your brain is running on multiple tracks, it is dreadful having to listen and just sit! I had an algebra student who was creating a video game. He had characters to flesh out and to draw. In my class, he drew as I talked. It helped him focus. If I was afraid that he would miss something, I pointed it out. He never made below a 90% on a test. However, I would have to educate adults who came into the room. ALL of them tried to get him to put his drawing up and "pay attention." He was already paying attention!! It worked for him, and it worked for me. However, other adults were a pain.
