A teaser ad for "Blade Runner 2049", starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, was released today. Lasting only a minute and a half, the clip gives us a first look at the visual style of the film. Update: Icelandic composer Johann Johannsson, who composed the score for "Arrival", will be doing "Blade Runner". (It will be the fourth collaboration between Johannsson and director Denis Villeneuve.) Here is what Johannsson had to say about Vangelis in the most recent issue of DGA Quarterly: "Everyone working on this film is very aware of the legacy and power of the original...Vangelis has always been a huge influence on what I do: the way he uses space in his music; the way he uses reverberation; his use of very strong and simple phrases. The challenge is to create something that lives within the world of "Blade Runner" and is faithful to that world, but is still something new."
