President Barack Obama announced the recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom today. Among the 21 honorees are Tom Hanks, Robert Redford, Robert De Niro, Diana Ross, and Cicely Tyson. The presentation is November 22nd at the White House. The Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian honor given to an individual.
