Kristen Stewart, Laura Dern, and Michelle Williams star in a new drama being released in theaters tomorrow, October 14th. "Certain Women" is written and directed by Kelly Reichardt, based on the short stories of Maile Meloy. The setting is a small town in Montana where the lives of three independent women cross paths. That is very cool. In an interview on the Today Show this week, Laura Dern said that her mother was a role model for her, and that the films Diane Ladd made in the 1970s had strong female characters that are often missing from the films that are made now.

Update: "Certain Women" just won the Best Film Award at the London Film Festival, announced on Saturday, October 15th. The jury president stated the movie is "a humane and poignant story that calibrates with startling vulnerability and delicate understatement the isolation, frustrations and loneliness of lives unlived in a quiet corner of rural America.â€
