Attention Agatha Christie fans! 20th Century Fox studios will be remaking "Murder on the Orient Express". This new version will be directed by Kenneth Branagh and he will also be playing detective Hercule Poirot in the film.

Update: Angelina Jolie is in talks to join the cast of "Murder on the Orient Express". One of the film's producers is Ridley Scott. The screenplay is being written by Michael Green, who also penned the sequel to Scott's 1982 classic "Blade Runner".

Update: In a press release, Fox Studios has announced that Johnny Depp will be co-starring with Branagh in "Murder on the Orient Express". Angelina Jolie has dropped out of the cast, but Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena, and Judi Dench have been added in supporting roles. Production is scheduled to begin in November, in London.

Update: Penelope Cruz is now part of the cast of "Murder on the Orient Express". Cruz is currently filming "Escobar", with her husband Javier Bardem playing the title role.

Update: It was announced today that Willem Dafoe has joined the cast of "Murder on the Orient Express". He will play undercover detective Gerhard Hardman. Dafoe is also in pre-production with a drama that co-stars Isabelle Huppert and Imogen Poots. Look for "The Sleeping Shepherd" sometime in 2017.
