I watched Cloverfield years ago, and I did enjoy it. I just didn't like that things don't get explained.

So, this next movie is supposed to be happening at the same time - it's not a sequel - so I think that's cool. I want to see it - but I'll need to rewatch the first one again

I have never seen Cloverfield. About a little over a week ago, I went to see Cloverfield 10 with my son. We both left the movie theatre trying to figure out what the heck just happened. Fully expecting to see bad reviews, I was astonished at the fact that it seemed to be very popular 7/10.
To me, the ending came out of nowhere and there were so many unanswered questions and storylines it was a muddled mess. Even my son, who loved Cloverfield, hated Cloverfield 10. I don't want to give away any spoilers so once you've seen it, let me know what you think. It just wasn't the movie for me.

Dianne, I did see it, and I really enjoyed it. Though, again, lots of unanswered questions - and super creepy story that had nothing to do with the aliens LOL!!

Maybe there will be another Cloverfield movie that finally explains stuff, and gives us closure!

These two movies are related (havent seen the last so in case the replies have to do with it i did not read it - took a chance on reading the thread starter )?

Cloverfield is the movie with the monster and it was filmed by a phone right? I thought the other was like an end of the world movie but yeah this could work too if it's the case!
