Good Morning Friends, and happy June!

I wanted to say hello because I've been away for a while.

In early April my aunt passed away. She'd always been my favorite aunt, and we were pretty close - she had no kids of her own, so she was a second mom to me.

Along with that came needing to sell her mobile home, and taking care of some other things. It just felt overwhelming.

I have been doing some fun things too though, like a have a couple of new workshops planned and am super excited about those! And my son came home from college for the summer - YAY!!

How about you? Have you been up to anything new? How is life?

I am sorry to hear about that Deanna! I hope at least that all the things that needed to care of went smoothly. I also hope this did not end up a huge fight in your family like it sadly often happens. It is nice that you found things to change your mind and even have fun!

My life sucks as usual but at least I am working on it, it does not look like it because I am still living with the people who are responsible for my awful life (up until i became a teenager - i take responsibility for them still being in my life) but all the while I can put money aside and plan carefully my exit while I am working on myself.

This week, I compressed my teaching schedule to four days a week. I'm looking forward to having some extra time to focus on my writing!

Nancy, thanks so much. So far there's only been a wee bit of drama, but since I live on the west coast, and the rest of my family lives on the east coast, well, there's not a lot they can do LOL. I get the occasional email telling me what to do, but I was pretty much in charge of her care management over these last few years and no one else jumped in to help. So I'm pretty much doing what I think is best

What and where do you teach?

My grandmom (dad side) is probably going to die soon (she has been very sick for years - she like most of the rest of the family [both sides by the way] either do not seek medical help or seeks it too late so it is worst than it should be) and wow it will be ugly when that day comes. Plus she has a favorite son that still lives with her and we are all pretty sure she changed her will to accommodate him. I for sure will stay far away from all that drama when it happens (they all [i think im the only sane person in both the families] love drama and when theres none they invent some so imagine when something like a death happens).

I doubt my exit will be this year but at least during that time I am able to put more money aside plus I will be sure that I will make it with that money by planning and calculating everything.

I teach private piano lessons at a music studio. Some of my students travel over the summer, so I generally work fewer hours during this time. Today, I'm at Starbucks writing my latest film review!

Angela, I love to sit in fun places and write, or plan out classes.

Several years ago, two of my friends decided to start a publishing company (which they then changed their mind about ) but I'd go over to where they worked, and I'd just write. I'd bring my lunch, and we'd all eat lunch together even.

I love being part of a team --- and even though we all had a different focus, it was fun while it lasted

I've found that writing in public spaces helps with my procrastination issues. I don't want to just sit there and stare into space , so it forces me to write. Does anyone have any other ideas for dealing with procrastination?

HA HA, Angela, it helps me stay off of computer games - I'd be embarrassed to be at a Starbucks, set up on my computer, and have Bejeweled going HA HA!!! No way!!

I struggle with procrastination issues. What I figured out about myself is that it's not so much that I love to write - but I do love having written.
