Hello Everyone,

My how I have missed you.

Anyway, here we all are and I hope you are still enjoying your container gardens.

Do you feel like telling us how you are getting on?
Any problems? Successes? Loving the weather you have in your neck of the woods?

Here in Johannesburg we are moving into winter, though by many standards our coldest day is just a 'bit crispy' elsewhere in the world - and we have snow here only once in many blue moons if sort of ever!

Well, what is tickling your imagination in the garden right now?
What would you like me to write about?

What questions for containers do you have?

I started with some questions and ended with some questions so hopefully I will get some answers!

Cheers now and looking forward to hearing from you,

Hi Lestie! Great to see you back again.

I'm in southern California for a few days and yesterday went to nearby Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden with the friend I'm visiting. They have about two thousand different species of plant native to California, including hybrids and cultivars.

My friend has replanted her garden with plants that drought resistant, and was looking for some more ideas for a few plants she has that don't seem to be thriving in their current place. We were both very taken with the red hot pokers.

Mona - Santa Ana is a short distance from me in So.Cal. If I had been able to get into the forums yesterday (all fixed now after months)we could've met up for coffee. Hope you are enjoying your stay.

Hi Lestie,

About containers - I'm doing an experiment. I was given some radish and carrot seedlings in small peet cups. A week ago I transplanted them interspersed in a 20 gallon pot. It is 30cm - 1 foot deep and I'm hoping the carrots will reach down. I lined the bottom with one layer of newspaper and filled the container with potting soil. It is sitting in my garden greenhouse - it is still cold here in The Netherlands.

Lestie, so good to see you back. I am getting plants for Mother's Day. They are what I really want. My sister-in-law, who recently passed away, had lots of pots in front of her home. I am relocating them to our house.
