Probably not the right place to post this, Vance, but the characters in the book did criminal acts. I just need to share the story.

I just finished THE SOUND OF GRAVEL by Ruth Warriner. Not published as a crime story, but this memoir was chilling. I could not read it at night as it caused me to have dwell on the characters and their plight.

This is a story that includes welfare fraud, neglect, child abuse, wife abuse, as well as illegally transporting people into the US.

I will have to check that out Angie. Thank you. This is the place to post something like this because it does have to do with crime, even it is only a small part of the book.
