Driving to work, I have seen deer, coyote, and many different birds. There is much wildlife here, and all we have to do to see it is to open our eyes....

California foothills - great for wildlife. Mid Wales town in February - not so good. A friendly marmalade tabby wasn't wild. Dead squirrel in the road, unusual as they're usually pretty fast. Lots of seagulls and other assorted birds. Starlings have murmurations when the weather is conducive (It hasn't been.) - saw one last month. And I *heard* a woodpecker.
One of the most fun things I ever saw in California was in southern California: a pair of roadrunners!
Okay, but there's so many other things to see in Wales! My husband has promised me that we will never again go more than five years without visiting the British Isles, and Wales is our next plan. It's supposed to have the most beautiful countryside in the entire UK.
