When you forgive, you let go of the hurt.

I once had someone I loved act in such a way that I could not tell that they were actually my friend. I was hurt but I chose to forgive them so that I don't have to hold on to the bitterness.

I just read your article and all I can say that what you wrote is so true that I had to re-read it so that I can truly embody the word forgiveness.

In the past, I was hurt by my best friends. They said I was not there for them when they needed me the most and I guess that it was partly true. I have learned to forgive them in time but it was a difficult process.

I had to let go of my anger because it was holding me back from life. Pride is also let go and I am now happier with myself and I learned a lot from the past.
