Hello there!

I was searching for any diy projects on the web when I came across this. The materials used is just only $50, more or less. Anyway this can be a craft for a kid or an adult. I just decided that I'll make a balloon orb next week and tomorrow I'll buy the materials needed for the project.

Here are the materials needed:
>bowl
>yarn
>balloons
>petroleum jelly
>corn starch (1/2 cup)
>water(1/4 cup)
>medium sized bottle of white glue

(ღˇ◡ˇ)~♥ I'll update you when I'll start making the balloon orb!

Hi!

I just bought the materials needed but before I can start, I need to do something else first. So by tomorrow, I'll be able to start. I'm so excited to make this thing! \(^▽^)/

I have a confession to make... I already made the Balloon Orb!
O(≧∇≦)O

It was a very messy project with all the glue mixture dripping all over my floors. Good thing that I laid newspapers on the floor before starting the Balloon Orb. If you want to know the process of making a Balloon Orb. Watch this video of an amazing person do it.

P.S. I only followed the guy on the video to make it and it turned out great ∩(´∀`∩)

Today, I expected to see my balloon orb to be fine and drying. The problem is that the balloon popped but the good thing about it is that the yarn had hardened. If not, it would have been a disaster. I'm going to let it dry outside for another day before doing something with it. (∩▂∩)

I took out the balloon and the final product was stunning. All I have to do if I were to make a hanging light out of it would be just buying for the light bulb. I recommend buying an LED light bulb because it saves electricity and it doesn't get hot too fast.

All in all, making my first attempt a success.

I decided to make a smaller orb and its color is hot pink. For my second attempt, the yarn was not sticking well to the balloon. But it all ended well and was hung outside to dry.

I made my third attempt, smaller than the second and its color is lavender. It did better than the first two attempts and the yarn was more compact and had hid the holes, best among the three.

***Verdict: If you want to do a balloon orb, try it small first to get the hang of it. Here are the measurements for my three attempts:

1st: 6.5 in
2nd: 4 in
3rd and Final: 2.5 in

***Also, try using 2 bottles of white glue instead of just one. Buy thinner yarn than the thicker one because it would look better and would wrap the balloon completely.

I threw away my second attempt because it came out deformed. Word of advice! Use thin yarn than thicker yarn.

Styxx - I absolutely loved following your story of the Balloon Orbs.

Have you tried the light bulb yet?

Does the yarn give the light a different color?

Hello, Chel!

I haven't tried putting the light bulb yet and I'm not so sure if I'm going to put it. I don't think it will give the yarn a different color. It all depends on the color of light bulb. If it's red, it would give red light. Anyway, thanks for loving my posts about the balloon orbs. ヽ(^□^。)ノ
