Well the Holidays are here and the stress is mounting. There is so much to get done and no time to do it in! I sometimes feel like a pressure cooker with all this stress just building up inside me. It can actually by scary at times. Luckily, though, my coach gave me a very simple technique to use when I'm feeling stressed. It only takes 30 seconds to do and it makes me feel sooooo much better. I like this so much I wanted to share it with you all. So here it is: Start by finding a place where you can sit down for about a minute. Then, while focusing on the stress you're feeling, tap your kneecaps in an alternating fashion--right then left then right then left at a pace of about 2 taps per second--and keep doing this for about 20-30 seconds. I find that doing this once makes me feel much more relaxed and at ease, though you can do it as many times as you need to. My coach created a modified version of this that is actually more powerful. You can read about it at his website: www.endholidaystress.com

Cool! I've been doing EFT lately and really enjoying it so I'll have to try this next time I'm stressing about work tasks. Thanks.

Yeah, EFT is great! I've been doing that for about 4 years now but what I really like about this other technique is it's so much faster (no need for set up phrases, PR, etc.) and brings the same kind of result.

That was totally my issue with EFT to begin with, repeating the affirmations out loud felt kind of corny and I didn't like it and I still struggle with that aspect of it so thanks so much for posting this. You could even do this if you're out somewhere and nobody would even know.

You're very welcome for the technique. I hope it helps you and everyone else who reads about it. I'm telling everyone I know about this and hoping it changes their Holiday experience!

This is a good idea, I'll try to remember it so I can try it next time stress is getting to me.
