Well the Holidays are here and the stress is mounting. There is so much to get done and no time to do it in! I sometimes feel like a pressure cooker with all this stress just building up inside me. It can actually by scary at times.
Luckily, though, my coach gave me a very simple technique to use when I'm feeling stressed. It only takes 30 seconds to do and it makes me feel sooooo much better. I like this so much I wanted to share it with you all. So here it is:
Start by finding a place where you can sit down for about a minute. Then, while focusing on the stress you're feeling, tap your kneecaps in an alternating fashion--right then left then right then left at a pace of about 2 taps per second--and keep doing this for about 20-30 seconds.
I find that doing this once makes me feel much more relaxed and at ease, though you can do it as many times as you need to.
My coach created a modified version of this that is actually more powerful. You can read about it at his website: www.endholidaystress.com
