This sounds so good. Will have to try this. I get so tired of the same old sandwiches all the time. This gives quite a bit of 'mental' kick.

Another thing that gives sandwiches a burst of flavor is muffaletta olive salad. It is so good. Costco carries it, but you can also order it if you cannot find it locally.

If you don't prefer pumpernickel or rye, an onion Kaiser roll is a good choice. Slice it and turn it inside out, so that the cut side is grilled and the fillings are up against what started as the outside of the roll.
