I met a friend yesterday who was telling me how tough they find it to be socially accepted as someone with an ongoing diagnosed mental health challenge.
She told me how isolated she feels and how writing poetry helps her to get all her thoughts out of her head and onto paper. In the process of doing this she has helped others and won a prize for her poetry!
Sometimes it can be difficult to verbalise what is going on and writing or drawing/painting can be great ways of expressing yourself without having to explain endlessly
