On January 1st millions of people make a list of resolutions for the coming 12 months. Most won't survive past the middle of the month. However, a new trend of short and specific goals are emerging in place of generic promises made. One of which is known as Dry January.
Oh this is a great idea. Though I don't drink, I was thinking about what else I could do - like I was thinking for the next 30 days only eat fruit up until about 10am. Then have oatmeal, or something.
I always seem to put on a couple of pounds in the fall but last year I signed up with loseit and monitored my eating habits by writing everything down. I figured out what I was doing wrong and encouraged myself on a daily basis to watch what I was eating or how much I was eating. I specifically said to lose six pounds by spring or early summer, nothing drastic. I did shed six pounds and was very happy about it. Cookies and bread are my downfall.
