Mammn,
Im sorry to hear about your eye operation, thats very scary. And to feel that you have no support from your family must be heartbreaking.
Rants can be liberating as we get things off of our chest. Then after the rant, we move on to coming up with viable solutions to our dilemmas. I know it is not easy, but try to be positive. Negativity will not do you any good.
I actually went through something similar myself. I went home via public transportation after getting my wisdom teeth yanked. I thought I would be fine as I didnt know how much pain Id be in after the procedure. I was in agonyand alone. And in this agony, I went to fill my prescriptions by myself and waited until the meds were ready. I would not recommend this.
If your family cant help you for whatever reason, then think outside of the box, a friend, a neighbor, an old classmate from school? The person can either drive you home or take the bus with you. Also perhaps if your friends/family cant accompany you due to work or other obligations, maybe they can lend you money to take a cab. Try to barter, offer to return the favor etc.

Good luck and please do keep us posted.
