Dear Tea Lovers,

Here's a lesser known tea sandwich recipe

In Victorian times and times when money was scarce, a toast sandwich was intoduced!

The recipe:

A thin piece of toast is buttered and salted and then peppered and then placed in between two pieces of white bread!

It is also,in some circles, known as the sandwich that may have changed lives!

It may still be spotted on British menus today, but listed as a side dish most likely!

Dear Tea Readers,

Here's a recipe for making refrigerator tea.

I usually make this before I go to bed at night, that way it will be ready to drink in the morning/ or for lunch or dinner.

For 2 quarts

using a 2 quart container/pitcher, fill with filtered water.
using 8 tea bags (can use loose leaf if desired) of your favorite kind

Simply submerse them completely in the pitcher and close lid on top of the strings so that they can then steep for 6 and up to 12 hours.

That it! Remove tea bags and (or loose leaf) discard and sweeten as desired!

Enjoy!
