An article complaining about typos has a typo right in the key quote. Just what is a "coucntry" and why didn't their copy of Word catch that? smile

I think the article was about ignorance, as "Columbia" isn't a typo. But I did have a little chuckle about the typo in the article - it's exactly the kind of typo that the spell check picks up. It's very annoying to read books that are full of typos - Springer publishers are notorious for it and they aren't the only ones.

I have mixed feelings about this -- bigger companies should have efficient HUMAN proofreaders and writers. Smaller companies should have more efficient, knowledgeable writers.

Mona - right, exactly. The typo in the article would have clearly sprung out if someone bothered to even run a basic "Word" spell check. Clearly they didn't care to even do that much.
